The final fights of the World Series Pro tournament for the Prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which has become one of the most important and prestigious competitions of the last two years, were interesting and eventful in all respects.
The First Vice-President of the International Kurash Association, the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, the Chairman of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nigmatilla Yuldoshev, the vice-presidents of the International Kurash Association – the President of the African Kurash Union Thomas Dunker, the President of the European Kurash Confederation Merampi Iliadis, the IKA Secretary General Mohammad Reza Nassiri, who took part in the official opening ceremony of the international tournament, wished good luck to the participants of the final competition. The ever-expanding scale and geography of the tournament were noted.
In the final fights, which took place in the capital’s sports palace “Universal”, experienced wrestlers who came from all continents of our planet demonstrated their skills.

This year, the World Series Pro was organized in 10 weight categories, and at the continental championships and international tournaments organized on four continents, 80 wrestlers with the highest rating points reached the finals in their weight categories.
In the -66 kg weight category, the current Asian champion, winner of the World Nomad Games, Otabek Khasanov, tested his strength in the final with Iranian Majid Vahid Barimanlou. Otabek Khasanov defeated his opponent and won a confident victory.

Another interesting final match was held in the -73 kg weight category with the participation of two world champions. The current world champion Maulenin Abilkaiyr from Kazakhstan went to the mat against Elias Pakdel, the 2022 world champion in Pune. The dramatic fight ended in favor of Maulenin Abilkaiyr.
The winner of the Asian Games, Khilola Ortiqboyeva, defeated Salimighalehtaki Arezou from Iran and became the winner of the tournament.

The current Asian champion defeated Lee Wan-Ting from Chinese Taipei and Komila Kahhorova. She won the gold medal.
At the same time, in the men’s fights in the +100 kg weight category, Mukhsin Khisomiddinov defeated Shakarmamad Mirmamadov from Tajikistan and became a two-time winner of the World Series Pro tournament.
According to the tournament rules, gold medalists were awarded cash prizes of $10,000, silver medalists of $5,000, and bronze medalists of $1,000.
