Tashkent hosts the “Pearl of the Silk Road” Film Festival.
The event is attended by almost 300 filmmakers, actors, directors and camera operators, producers, and analysts from 52 countries.

The audience met with particular interest the famous French actor Frédéric Diefenthal, known to Uzbek audiences for his role in the film “Taxi” and the performance of the famous Turkish singer Ayla Çelik.

The winners of the National Film Contest were awarded. In the “Best Actor” category, Khoshim Arslonov was recognized as the winner for his role in the film “Flight 101.” In the “Best Actress” nomination, Rano Shodiyeva won for her role in the movie “A Woman’s Fate”.
Ali Khamroyev received the “Best Director” award for the film “Melon Freshness in Samarkand”. The “Best Film” award went to Kamara Kamalova’s film “What to Call You".
