The International Honey Festival, which was first held in the Afsonalar Vodiysi Park (Valley of Legends) in the city of Namangan, brought together about 300 honey masters and thousands of connoisseurs of this product not only from the regions of the country, but also from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Russia.
In Namangan region, the ranks of entrepreneurs are expanding more and more, who are not limited to obtaining the primary product from bees, but also start processing, packaging and selling it, as well as exporting it.
During the three-day festival, an exhibition and a variety of products were presented to the attention of residents and guests in more than 170 trade pavilions. Visitors could purchase high-quality honey packaged in elegant containers with a beautiful design, and receive helpful information about the special properties of this miracle of nature.
In addition, to develop beekeeping and widely apply world experience in this area, a scientific and practical workshop was organized for local and foreign entrepreneurs working in the sphere with the participation of representatives of the ICARDA.
A presentation of a mobile application was held, through which you can get detailed information about the types and varieties of honey.
B2B meetings were held to develop the beekeeping industry and export honey further. Several contracts were signed between local and foreign entrepreneurs, the export portfolio for 2023-2025 amounted to $5 million.
