The National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in connection with the 31st anniversary of the country’s Constitution and the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, held an award ceremony for winners of the national competition “Education and Innovation in Human Rights and Freedoms”.
The competition was organized at the initiative of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Ministries of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Preschool and School Education, the Agency for Youth Affairs and the Youth Union.
Director of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akmal Saidov noted that the number of human rights norms in the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan has tripled.
81 applications were received for the competition. The jury members carefully studied all the creative works. At the ceremony, 16 people were awarded the “For the Protection of Human Rights” badge. Awards were given in 5 categories on human rights. Certificates were awarded to 19 students who successfully passed the tests.
Partner organizations that took an active part and showed initiative in conducting courses aimed at empowering youth were awarded letters of gratitude.
Two veterans of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who worked fruitfully for many years, were awarded “Mehnat Fahriysi” badges.
