The awarding ceremony for the winners of the most prestigious International Educational Olympiads took place in Tashkent.

It was attended by representatives of all levels of education, winners of the Olympiads, their mentors and parents, organizers, media representatives.

In July this year, Uzbekistan’s students participated in prestigious international Olympiads and won 6 medals – 4 silver and 2 bronze.

During the last academic year, Uzbekistan’s students who took part in regional International Olympiads won 39 medals: 3 gold, 13 silver and 23 bronze medals.

Winners of International Olympiads are awarded cash prizes:

– holders of gold medals – 150 million UZS, their teachers – 135 million UZS;

– holders of silver medals – 90 million UZS, their teachers – 75 million UZS;

– holders of bronze medals – 60 million UZS, their teachers – 45 million UZS.

Medal holders are enrolled in higher education institutions based on a state grant. Their mentors will receive a salary increase of up to 200 percent in the next academic year.

The winners of the Olympiads and their mentors were solemnly awarded at the event.
