Winners of Asian and Para-Asian Games awarded

In accordance with the resolution of the President, athletes who won gold medals at the Asian and Para-Asian Games were awarded $10,000, silver and bronze medalists – $5,000 and $2,500. Their coaches – $5,000, $2,500, and $1,250.

An award ceremony was held at the Museum of Olympic and Paralympic Glory in Tashkent.

At the award ceremony, which was attended by the Head of the Social Development Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Odil Abdurakhmonov, Minister of Youth Policy and Sports Adham Ikramov, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee Oybek Kosimov, Chairman of the National Paralympic Committee Mukhtorkhon Toshkhojayev, and other officials, it was noted that at the Hangzhou 2022 Games, the “golden generation” of domestic sports achieved high results, and those who glorify the sports glory of our Motherland are always in the center of attention of our state.

Indeed, at the Asian and Para-Asian Games in China, the youth of New Uzbekistan achieved significant victories. At the Asian Games, Uzbekistan’s athletes won 22 gold medals, 18 silver medals, and 31 bronze medals, taking 5th place in the team event among 45 countries. At the Para-Asian Games, the sports delegation of Uzbekistan was awarded 25 gold, 24 silver, and 30 bronze medals, taking eighth place in the team event with 79 medals, which indicates the talent and skill of our athletes.

During the ceremony, the athletes, sports teams, and their coaches were presented with the corresponding prize money for each medal won at the Asian and Para-Asian Games, which was transferred into the savings accounts of the athletes and coaches.
