In 2023, Uzbekistan took part in the international competition Wiki Loves Earth for the first time. Participants from Uzbekistan submitted 3,279 photographs.

The local jury selected ten photographs submitted by 6 participants for the international stage.

From thousands of photos, an international jury chose a photo that depicts a landscape of calm and harmony of autumn on the Koksu River in the Ugam-Chatkal State National Natural Park of Uzbekistan. This photo of Marat Nadjibayev won the competition.
