Tashkent hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the “Oltin Qalam” (Golden pencil) International Competition.

The 1st place in the print media for the current critical and analytical materials in ensuring freedom of speech were shared by the newspapers “Hurriyat” (Editor-in-Chief – A. Jumakulov) and “Ma'rifat” (Editor-in-Chief – H. Nishonov).

Second place went to “Narodnoye Slovo” newspaper correspondent Sergey Levchenko.

The editorial staff of Yoshlik magazine has taken the third place.
