As of January 1, 2022 (according to the results of a technical inspection), methane (compressed gas) is the most popular fuel for vehicles owned by individuals in Uzbekistan.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in the total number of cars owned by individuals, the share of vehicles using methane became the highest (65%). Next, in terms of prevalence, are gasoline (24.4%), propane (8.4%) and diesel fuel (2.2%).
