The Law “On introducing amendments and addenda to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan” has been considered at the nineteenth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

The Law “On introducing amendments and addenda to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan” has been considered at the nineteenth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

In accordance with the amendments introduced to the Law “On state customs service”, the Higher Military Customs Institute will be transformed into Customs Institute of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In addition, amendments are being introduced to the Law “On state pension provision of citizens”, which envisages increasing maximum amount of earnings taken for the calculation of pensions from eight to ten times the maximum wage.

The Law “On protection of citizens’ health” is also introduced new norms. In accordance with this, persons who do not have medical education, using traditional medicine methods can also obtain the right to carry out medical activities on the basis of conclusion of a Special Commission on licensing of medical activities using traditional medicine methods under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with amendments introduced to the Law “On state pension provision of citizens”, based on increasing the amount of survivor's pension, assigned to orphans who lost both parents, as well as total salary of parents, it is determined that pension will be paid instead of eight-fold minimum wage in tenfold amount of minimum wage.

The law is approved by senators.
