At the World Weightlifting Championships in Peru, the Uzbekistan youth team won 12 medals.

Ruslan Rakhmatjonov won two gold and silver medals, and Dilnoza Fayzullayeva was among the tournament’s top ten strongest weightlifters. 

Bekzod Gofurjonov and Marjona Abudumutalova won a silver medal and two bronze medals. 

Omadillo Olimov, who competed in the +102 kg weight category, lifted 150 kg in the snatch and 195 kg in the clean and jerk and received three silver medals.
