Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva received the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani.

The parties discussed issues of further developing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE in inter-parliamentary relations, gender equality, human rights, environmental protection, and the achievement of sustainable development.

At the meeting, attention was drawn to enhancing cooperation within the framework of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

Views were also exchanged on the issues of the green economy, the fight against climate change, strengthening cooperation in achieving gender equality and implementing joint activities in the fight against human trafficking and forced labor.

Bujar Osmani spoke out in support of the ongoing democratic renewal in Uzbekistan and socio-economic reforms and expressed his readiness to contribute to the development of cooperation.
