In the Ghofur Gulom culture and recreation park of the capital city, a cultural enlightenment event has been held under the slogan of “My life, my destiny – my sacred homeland, my beautiful and unique Uzbekistan”.

The event entitled “We are 25 years of age” was arranged by the Mahalla public charity foundation, the Tashkent city departments of the Kamolot public youth movement in cooperation with other partner organizations. Morality propagators, teachers, young people who are of the same age as the country’s independence, parents and members of the wider public were invited to the event.

The presidential decree dated 6 February 2014 “On additional measures directed towards implementing the state youth policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan” is an important legal basis for the realization of good hopes of the younger generation and for the enhancement of their creative and intellectual potential.

Young people who are of the same age as the country’s independence availed themselves of the great and priceless fruits of independence while they were growing up, and today they are not only active participants in society’s life but are also displaying their talent and potential in such spheres as economics, science, education, culture and sport.

Temur Hidirov is one of them. He is studying for a master’s degree at the Tashkent state economics university. Due to his scientific research into bringing more order to economic relations in the agro-industrial complex and into the production of ecologically clean produce, he first won a grant from the Kamolot public youth movement, then the Navoiy state grant in the year 2014, and the presidential state grant in the year 2015.

“The limitless care and attention being provided for us, young people, and great changes taking place in our country prompt us to endeavour to be even more active and to deeply feel responsibility for the Motherland’s future,” says T.Hidirov.

During the event, young men and girls who are of the same age as the country’s independence spoke about their current work, their achievements and future. Young performers and children’s artistic groups played melodies and sang songs about Uzbekistan, independence, peaceful and calm, happy and prosperous days and the limitless care and attention being given to young people.
