Professional boxer from Uzbekistan Otabek Kholmatov is officially recognized as a lightweight championship contender.

This has been announced by the World Boxing Association (WBA). There is a possibility that Otabek will fight with Mexican Mauricio Lara for the WBA featherweight championship belt, but his team may choose another opponent for him.

Otabek Kholmatov fought 11 fights in professional boxing and won all of them. He is a contender for the WBA title, and in the IBF ranking, he was listed in the top seven.

According to vRINGe.com, Uzbekistan’s boxer was recognized as one of the ten strongest boxers in the world in this weight.
