The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan hosted a meeting with the Head of Japan’s All Season Travel Company Kazuhisa Kawakami on cooperation in tourism.

At the meeting, the Japanese side was informed about the conditions created for tourists in Uzbekistan in recent years, as well as about the development of the tourism industry.

Kazuhisa Kawakami noted that he visited Uzbekistan in November last year to become familiar with Uzbekistan’s tourism sector after the coronavirus pandemic. During the visit, he visited Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. He highly appreciated the rapid development of tourism infrastructure in these cities: new hotels, restaurants, craft workshops have been built.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on organizing events in major cities of Japan aimed at popularizing Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, as well as on the publication of information materials about the country in leading Japanese magazines specializing in tourism. The representatives of the leading Japanese TV Company will also visit Uzbekistan in May to prepare a series of video reports on the country's tourism potential.
