The National Guard’s Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, in cooperation with the British Embassy in Uzbekistan, hosted an event with the participation of a military orchestra.
Students of the National Guard’s Military Music Academic Lyceum, the chief conductor of the Band of The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Wayne Hopla, and his band presented a joint concert, “Sounds of Melodies”. The students prepared the concert under the guidance of Abror Nozimov, a Military Music Academic Lyceum teacher.
Servicemen and employees of the system, orphanage children, and young people were invited to the event.
“This is my third visit to Uzbekistan”, says Wayne Hopla. “Cooperation between the military orchestras of the two countries is developing. We held a masterclass with young musicians this time and organized a concert. It was a little difficult for us to communicate in terms of language, but language is not important for musicians. The language of music unites them”.
