Mirishkor district of Kashkadarya region is practically a steppe territory. The population of the district bordering Turkmenistan is mainly engaged in Karakul sheep breeding. There are also mines of industrial enterprises.
A gusty wind lifts sand into the air. We walk through dunes, along the way we meet steppe plants. We are heading to a waterfall that flows into Lake Sechankul. Many people think that this steppe is boundless, but life is in full swing here, which a person does not notice.
We walked for a long time, finally we got to the waterfall. The waterfall has its eco-environment. You can meet here various fauna and flora.
Lake Sechankul, which occupies 7 thousand of hectares, is mainly filled with the waters of this waterfall. Many people know the taste of fish caught here.
The fishing season is over. The fishers have left the boat in the shallows. We lowered the boat and decided to take a walk on the lake. A light breeze and waves carried us further and further, it seemed that real natural beauty was yet to come. We did not notice how far we had sailed from the shore and decided to return.
The steppe sand is amazing. You can walk on it barefoot as much as you like, your feet will not get dusty. High reeds on the shore became a habitat for wild birds. In general, It’s better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times. If you come to Kashkadarya, visit the Sechankul waterfall and the lake, located in the heart of the steppe.
