The Human Dimension Conference is being held in Warsaw jointly with the OSCE/ODIHR.
The conference is attended by experts from international organizations working in human rights, Ombudsmen of foreign countries, representatives of national institutions and civil societies, as well as the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Feruza Eshmatova.
The implementation of OSCE commitments adopted within the framework of human security criteria is being discussed.

Ms. Eshmatova informed about the provision of human rights in Uzbekistan and the results achieved. She emphasized the country’s firm position against torture and the enshrinement of this point of view in the Constitution. She drew special attention to the importance of monitoring visits to penitentiary institutions jointly with public groups created in accordance with the resolution of the Head of state.
The conference will run until October 11.

During her visit to Warsaw, Ombudsman Feruza Eshmatova met with citizens of Uzbekistan living in Poland.

At the meeting held at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Poland, legal issues related to education, entrepreneurship, and conditions created for young people were discussed.
The Ombudsman noted that young people studying in foreign countries contribute to the country’s development after returning to their homeland.
