At the meeting, the guests expressed their views and opinions regarding the course of the elections in Uzbekistan and the level of preparation for them.
Wang Kaiwen, Head of the Delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Ambassador:
– It should be noted that the electoral process is held at a high organizational level, the electoral commissions carry out their activities in strict accordance with the electoral legislation. Citizens come to the polls in high spirits to make an important choice for the future of their homeland.
We have witnessed that much work has been carried out in the country to prepare for the elections. As soon as we arrived in Uzbekistan, we immediately felt the results of the ongoing large-scale reforms. The people are actively participating in the elections. This suggests that people are not indifferent to the fate of their country.
Over the past seven years, the electoral legislation has been improved, the opportunities for the participation of persons with disabilities in the electoral process have been expanded, and all the necessary conditions are being created for them. Equal conditions and opportunities for all segments of the population have also been created at the polling stations.
