Voting in Presidential elections in Uzbekistan began today at the 25th polling station established at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Latvia.

The electoral process began at 8.00 a.m. local time with the performance of the National Anthem in the presence of members of the Election Commission of precinct No. 25, the first voters and volunteers from among active students studying at Riga universities.

The Election Commission, consisting of Embassy staff and representatives of fellow citizens temporarily staying in Latvia, conducted thorough preparations for an important socio-political event. In particular, as noted, a list of Uzbekistan citizens was compiled, and they were provided with detailed information about early elections and programs of Presidential candidates from political parties. The news was regularly posted on the website of the diplomatic mission on the social network.
