Early voting continues in localities for the 4 December 2016 elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.The necessary conditions have also been created in polling stations in the capital city’s Uchtepa district for citizens to freely take part in early voting.
In accordance with Article 31 of the law “On elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, citizens who cannot be in their place of permanent residence on election day have the right to vote early.
In polling station No 45 located in the building of general education school No 44 in this district, conveniences have been created for voters. In this polling station, 2 thousand 996 voters living in the territory of the “Tinchlikobod” neighbourhood citizens’ gathering are registered.
“The process of early voting has been arranged in line with the relevant procedure specified in legislative documents on elections. In our precinct, 5 voters have voted early,” says the chairperson of the precinct electoral commission, Nodira Rahmonova.
“On 4 December, I’ll be on a work-related visit. Precinct electoral commission members have familiarized me in a detailed manner with the procedure specified in the law for early voting. I have exercised my constitutional right and voted for a candidate who’s embarking on an effort for our country’s development and for our peaceful, calm and prosperous living,” says A.Shomurodov living in the “Tinchlikobod” neighbourhood.
“It is a responsible task for me to take part in this important event in our country’s socio-economic life. I have familiarized myself with candidates’ programmes and biographies. I am going to Samarqand this week for medical treatment. In polling station No 45 where I am registered, I have voted early for the worthiest candidate,” says 72-year-old mother F.Ashurova living in the “Tinchlikobod” neighbourhood.
