On the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan on April 13, the leading Indonesian radio channel “Voice of Indonesia” broadcasted “Ramadan in Uzbekistan”, the duration of which was 20 minutes.

Employees of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Indonesia participated in the radio broadcast remotely. The program was hosted by the “Voice of Indonesia” presenter Asmawati.

The embassy staff spoke about the traditions of celebrating the month of Ramadan in Uzbekistan, the peculiarities of organizing iftarlik with family and friends, as well as the preparation of nishalda and pilaf.

Special attention was paid to the opening of Uzbekistan borders for Indonesian citizens who want to celebrate the month of Ramadan in the country.

The participants of the program informed the audience about the details of the opening of the first Imam al-Bukhari Mosque in Indonesia in the Uzbek architectural style on April 9 and the beginning of the premiere screening of the documentary film about the life of Abu Ali ibn Sina “Light from the East” on April 12, in Jakarta.
