11:53 / 2023-04-18

Director of the International Institute for Central Asia Vladimir Norov, addressing the international forum on “Brave New World”, stressed that the development of digital technologies is considered in Uzbekistan as one of the priorities for ensuring sustainable growth of the country’s economy.

IICA Director also noted that the President of Uzbekistan proposed to develop mutual partnership in the development of the digital economy and trade, the introduction of e-government, blockchain technologies and artificial intelligence.

At the same time, to achieve practical results in this direction, the President of Uzbekistan proposed the creation of a joint platform of the “Intellectual Silk Road” based on IT parks of the Central Asian countries and the People's Republic of China.

In turn, Chinese President Xi Jinping highlighted the importance of deepening cooperation in high technologies, including artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing.

The introduction of intelligent systems is changing the business practices of industrial companies and can significantly increase the efficiency of production in economic sectors such as industry, agriculture, education, banking, medicine, transport and others.

According to the forecasts of the consulting company Accenture, by 2030 the contribution of the industrial Internet to global production may amount to over $14.2 trillion.

In this regard, it was noted that it is very important to jointly develop an action plan for cooperation between the Central Asian countries and China in the industrial Internet and artificial intelligence technologies, which would also provide for the creation of a joint Intellectual Silk Road platform based on the IT parks of the two countries.

Currently, according to most authoritative experts, China is entering a period of rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies, industrial Internet, nanotechnology and quantum computing.

In this regard, China’s experience in using such technologies is of great interest in Central Asian countries.

It is noteworthy that more than 1,500 projects are being implemented in this area, covering more than 20 key sectors of the PRC economy.
