On November 23, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan Kim Hee-sang.

The Ambassador noted that the Republic of Korea considers Uzbekistan a key partner in the region and is ready to take all measures to further intensify interstate ties. Official Seoul welcomes and supports the course of large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan and intends to provide all possible assistance in their implementation.

The parties exchanged views on the schedule of planned events, including the next round of inter-MFA consultations in the city of Tashkent.

Proposals for building up ties within the framework of the Cooperation Forum “Central Asia – the Republic of Korea” were considered.
