The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held talks with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore Vivian Balakrishnan, in New York, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties discussed prospects of intensifying Uzbekistan – Singapore dialogue in the political, trade-economic, investment, financial, scientific-technical and cultural-humanitarian spheres, taking into account the vast potential of both sides.

The sides exchanged views on the planned events' schedule and organizational and substantive aspects.

To increase economic diplomacy, it was proposed to study the implementation of projects for developing smart cities, green and digital economy, the attraction of IT technologies, transport and logistics infrastructure development, and promotion of tourist exchanges.

The availability of opportunities for the exchange of experience in education, advanced training of civil servants, joint training of personnel, strengthening contacts of analytical centers of the two countries was noted.
