On 22 July 2022, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Makei, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The main attention was paid to the interaction of the two countries within the framework of international institutions, primarily the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Current issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus were also discussed. The parties confirmed their interest in further development of political dialogue, trade-economic ties and cultural-humanitarian exchanges.

The conversation took place in an open and businesslike atmosphere. An agreement was reached to maintain working contacts on issues of interest to the parties.
