The 50th anniversary of the establishment of sister city relations between the cities of Tashkent and Seattle is being celebrated these days. In this regard, representatives of the Seattle-Tashkent Sister City Association visited Tashkent.

The guests visited the Seattle Peace Park, organized on the territory of the Dustlik Park in Tashkent, and discussed cooperation between the two cities, existing problems, and improving joint activities.

The guests were accompanied by Deputy Hokim of the city of Tashkent for Tourism, Sports, Culture, Cultural Heritage and Mass Communications Fakhriddin Davrukov, who expressed confidence that the brotherhood and ties between the cities would continue to grow stronger.

According to the Hokimiyat of the city of Tashkent, the guests who visited the Seattle Peace Park were satisfied with its amenities and abundance of greenery and flowers. They said the park is a link connecting the people of the two cities, a kind of symbol of brotherhood and peace.
