Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Belgium Dilyor Khakimov has organized virtual talks from Nukus between the Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Alibek Kamalov, the representative of the State Unitary Enterprise “Aral Artemia Sanoati” Saulatbay Daniyarov and Professor of Ghent University (Belgium) Patrick Sorgeloos.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed the implementation of modern approaches and technologies in breeding Artemia cysts as part of aquaculture, methods of collection and processing.

Professor Patrick Sorgeloos noted that the experience of Vietnam can be actively used in the country, and it is also necessary to start training personnel through webinars with his participation.

Following the talks, agreements were reached in January 2021 to begin a course of webinars and train specialists, to work out the visit of the delegation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan to Vietnam, as well as Professor Patrick Sorgeloos to Nukus.
