The President of the Korea Herald Choi Jin-young, in an interview with IA Dunyo correspondent, commented on the upcoming Early Presidential Elections in Uzbekistan on July 9:

– First of all, I would like to express satisfaction with the fact that I took part as an international observer at the national referendum on introducing amendments and additions to the Constitution, which took place on April 30 this year in the interests of the development of the country and the interests of the people of Uzbekistan.

The referendum in Uzbekistan has become a vivid expression of Uzbekistan people's high thinking and wisdom. This referendum and the renewed Constitution were a continuation of consistent and rapid reforms in all areas, including political, legal, socio-economic, spiritual, and educational areas, in the renewing Uzbekistan.

I have visited many referendum sites since I was invited as an international observer. I saw great confidence in the bright future and the policy of the country’s leader in the eyes of every representative of Uzbekistan people.

We want to admit that today not only South Korea or Asian countries, but the entire international community is closely following the active and constructive domestic and foreign policy pursued by Uzbekistan, the level of development of the country, dynamic and large-scale reforms carried out in all areas. Of course, at the heart of such a policy lies the goal of a happy life for your people, strengthening peace in the country, and creating a worthy place for Uzbekistan in the international community.

In this sense, the significance of the Presidential Elections, which are expected to be held in your country on 9 July, is vital. Uzbekistan people will vote for a worthy candidate who can be trusted with their fate and serve the country’s further development.

I first visited Uzbekistan 10 years ago. But on my recent trip, I witnessed that Uzbekistan has changed in all aspects, and the pace of development in all areas has increased significantly.
