The Vietnamese delegation, which arrived in Uzbekistan to study the state of the sericulture industry, accompanied by the Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Wool Industry of Uzbekistan Bakhrom Sharipov got acquainted with products grown by sericulturists of Kashkadarya’s Shakhrisabz district. Members of the delegation also studied the activities of Shahrisabz Silk Production Company, which specializes in processing raw silk materials.

The parties exchanged views on the development of the industry. The members of the delegation also got acquainted with the activities of sericulture clusters in Surkhandarya region. A meeting was held with Surkhandarya region’s Hokim Ulugbek Qosimov. 

An exhibition of silk products produced by this cluster was organized for Vietnamese partners. They were informed about the production lines of the enterprise and its potential. An agreement was reached on implementing joint projects and exporting silk products to Vietnam in the future.
