Authorized persons and specialists are planning to reduce the value-added tax from the current 15 percent to 12 percent, as well as income tax in telecommunications, banking and finance from the current 20 percent to 15 percent.

It is planned to reduce the annual inflation rate by 9 percent and by 2023 to 5 percent, and the budget deficit by 3 percent. It is also planned to increase the share of the private sector in the banking sector from the current 18 percent to 60 percent.

These main parameters of economic development, provided for in the draft Strategy, were discussed at a meeting of the Committee on Budget and Economic Reforms of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
