Tashkent hosted the opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of the Slovak Republic in Uzbekistan.

Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic to Uzbekistan Vasily Shimko was awarded a consular patent. It was noted that Mr. Shimko is currently the Head of Chirana Asia Slovak-Russian-Uzbek joint venture, a resident of Yashnabad Innovative Technopark under the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic to Uzbekistan is the founder of the only plant in Central Asia for the production of artificial lung ventilation equipment that meets international standards.

Well-known resuscitators-anesthesiologists and leading specialists of the enterprise conduct monthly practical training workshops to become familiar with the production equipment and its capabilities. Currently, the plant purchases high European technologies with the assistance of the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry.

The appointment of a resident of Yashnabad Innovative Technopark as Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic to Uzbekistan will serve to strengthen intensive ties between Uzbekistan and Slovakia in culture and education, politics, investment and economy.
