The 21st Annual Meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club has kicked off in Sochi. The main theme of this year's meeting is “Lasting Peace on What Basis? Common Security and Equal Opportunities for Development in the 21st Century”.
The Uzbekistan delegation is represented by the heads of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies (ISRS), the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies (IMRS), and the Center for Foreign Policy Research and International Initiatives (CFPR).
CFPR Director Sanjar Valiyev noted the high quality of the annual report “The World from the Bottom Up or the Masterpieces of European Architecture”. He stressed that the report offers a clear and comprehensive picture of current world events and focuses on objective conditions conducive to the creation of a new architecture of Eurasia.
The forum, which brought together 140 participants from 50 countries, will run until November 7. The event aims to promote non-Western ideas for solving global problems and demonstrate that the leading developed countries do not have a monopoly on formulating goals and development paths.
Participants will discuss key topics such as ecology, economic inequality, artificial intelligence, and conflict resolution methods during the discussions.
