The International Exhibition “UzTextile Expo Spring 2023” was held at the Uzexpomarkaz Complex.
On May 29-31 this year, several events will be organized as part of the Tashkent Textile Week. In particular, the program includes the exhibition that has begun, a briefing on “Uzbekistan – the center of new security, quality and compliance”, in cooperation with the ILO, a joint forum of the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association and the Confederation of Employers of Uzbekistan, trainings on the latest trends and innovations, business and press tours, as well as B2B meetings.
As the Manager of the Iteca Exhibitions Nodira Khayitboyeva notes, such events are of great importance in the activities of local and foreign manufacturers. They are an essential impetus for the development of their business.
“It should be noted that the “UzTextile Expo Spring 2023” has started its work in Tashkent for the sixth time. It has been held twice a year since last year. After all, this direction is one of the most dynamically developing in our country. It is important that, at present, the textile industry has become export-oriented, and the volume of deliveries of products abroad is increasing every year. The country began to increase exports to the EU countries actively, having received the status of a beneficiary of the GSP+ preference program in 2021. This year, Uzbekistan plans to increase exports to $5 billion, implement 76 new projects, and create 26,000 new jobs”, N. Khayitboyeva says.
If almost 120 companies took part in the autumn exhibition in 2022, then “UzTextile Expo Spring 2023” gathers 160 companies and brands from 10 countries.
For example, the National Pavilion of Germany is presented for the first time. Companies provide services for testing, certification, and research of all types of textile products, for the development, production, and processing of polymers, as well as products that are known worldwide for their quality under the Made in Germany brand.
The 14 Indian companies, 49 Chinese companies, and 15 Turkish companies present home textiles, ready-to-wear, linen, cotton and knitted fabrics, and textile accessories.
Most importantly, more than 60 manufacturers of Uzbekistan – Osborn Textile, Ideal, Samarkand Apparel, Saff Textile, and Zelal Tekstil – offer local and foreign entrepreneurs high-quality textile and clothing products.
