Uzstandard Agency together with the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade organized a videoconference with the participation of experts of the International Trade Center.

Issues of bringing the laws on technical regulation, conformity assessment, certification of products and services in force in Uzbekistan into compliance with international regulatory documents were considered at the meeting.

Views were exchanged on the importance of improving and bringing these laws into line with the requirements of the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade of the WTO.

Experts of the International Trade Center agreed to hold a training workshop on March 9-10 on the interpretation of trade barriers, sanitary and phytosanitary measures and bringing national legislation into line with the WTO Agreement.
