The Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP hosted a meeting with representatives of the delegation of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE/ODIHR), led by Eoghan Murphy.

The ODIHR delegation was briefed on the priority areas of the party’s activities.

According to UzLiDeP, at the meeting, the final report of the ODIHR mission to observe the Presidential Elections in Uzbekistan held on October 24, 2021, was also considered. 

The main attention was paid to a comprehensive discussion of the OSCE recommendations aimed at improving the legal framework and practice of future elections. The parties expressed readiness for constructive cooperation in this direction.

It was noted that in recent years, the constructive interaction of the political parties of Uzbekistan with the OSCE institutions, including the ODIHR, has significantly intensified.
