UzLiDeP hosts a meeting with IPA CIS observers
08:32 / 2021-10-08

At the invitation of the Central Election Commission, long-term observers of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States are working in Uzbekistan.

On October 7, the Executive Committee of the Political Council of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with representatives of this delegation led by the Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat - Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development (IPA CIS IIMDD) Ivan Mushket.

It was noted that UzLiDeP considers participation in the presidential elections as a direct assessment of the reforms carried out in the country by the people of Uzbekistan. In this regard, the party seeks to use all the experience and introduce modern political technologies. Thus, UzLiDeP actively uses such political technologies as meetings with voters, preparation of handouts for voters, campaigning in traditional media (central and local television, radio, newspapers), active information work on social networks, debates, house-to-house voter visits, street banners.

According to UzLiDeP Press Service, Mr. Mushket informed about the goals and objectives of his work and noted that in the course of the Organization’s work, the observers of the IPA CIS will observe the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent and the regions. He positively assessed the progress of the campaigning work of political parties in Uzbekistan and the ongoing changes in the electoral sphere of the country.

The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere.
