13:20 / 2025-07-10

A public hearing on the master plan took place in Tashkent within the framework of the project “Increasing the potential of the Center of Chemical Technology”, implemented by Uzkimyosanoat jointly with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

Representatives from enterprises belonging to Uzkimyosanoat JSC, government agencies, research institutions, international organizations, and the private sector attended the event.

At the public hearing, it was noted that the project is a significant initiative aimed at transforming the country’s chemical industry, enhancing its scientific and technical potential through the use of advanced technologies.

The project provides for the introduction of the latest equipment and the transfer of international technologies. This will increase the export potential and create more than 200 new jobs.

It is planned to send 10 doctoral students and 12 undergraduates to the Republic of Korea as part of the project. Currently, 7 postgraduate students and 11 undergraduates are already studying at leading universities in this country.

According to Uzkimyosanoat JSC, the Center of Chemical Technology is designed to promote the production of high-value-added products by combining scientific and industrial potential, increasing the competitiveness of the country’s chemical industry in the international market.

The participants positively assessed the cooperation with KOICA and the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT). In their opinion, this project will create significant opportunities not only in the scientific research and production, but also in personnel training, technology transfer, and improvement of the investment climate in Uzbekistan.
