Uzkimyosanoat JSC: products worth $99.3 million exported in 3 months

The Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a press conference with the participation of Uzkimyosanoat JSC officials.

The results of the work of Uzkimyosanoat JSC on the implementation of the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2022-2026 and the implementation of the relevant items of the State Program in the Year of Ensuring Human Interests and Mahalla Development were summed up at the event, as well as plans for the future were discussed.

Chairman of the Board of Uzkimyosanoat JSC Jurabek Mirzamahmudov informed about the activities of the company in the first quarter of this year and the significance of the opening of the Chirchik Chemical-Industrial Technopark.

It was noted that in January-March 2022, the branch enterprises of Uzkimyosanoat JSC produced products worth 2878.9 billion UZS. The production growth rate compared to the forecast for this period amounted to 113.9 percent, compared to the same period last year – 105.2 percent. In the first quarter, 305.11 thousand tons of pure mineral fertilizers were produced.

“Products worth $99.3 million were exported in the first quarter”, Jurabek Mirzamahmudov said. – The products were exported to Russia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, China, and other countries. The main part of potash products is exported to Japan and Thailand, soda ash – to Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and China. During this period, investments of $44.5 million were attracted, which is 137 percent more than the same period last year. By the end of this year, within the framework of 17 projects, it is planned to attract investments of $402.7 million, including direct investments of $363.6 million.

At the event, information was provided on the work to implement the Presidential Resolution “On measures to create the Chirchik Chemical-Industrial Technopark in Tashkent region” of February 3, 2022. 14 enterprises will be established at the first stage of creating a technopark, which will occupy an area of ​​31.2 hectares. They will produce more than 100 types of products and carry out annual exports worth $15 million. With the launch of the technopark at full capacity, more than 2,000 people will be employed.

The participants also discussed the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of February 13, 2021, and the results achieved by Uzkimyosanoat JSC at the first Tashkent International Investment Forum.
