Uzbekkino delegation visits Kuala Lumpur

Director General of Uzbekkino National Agency, Chairman of National Association of Electronic Mass Media Firdavs Abdukhalikov met with Radio Televisyen Malaysia-RTM leadership, in Kuala Lumpur, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties discussed mechanisms and organizational aspects for implementation of a joint Uzbekistan – Malaysian project for production of a multi-series tourist program about Central Asian countries entitled “GLOB”. In particular, 5 episodes of this program will be dedicated to Uzbekistan. Shooting is planned in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva for April-May 2020.

This project is being implemented by Aquiula Emas company together with Uzbekkino National Agency with the support of RTM. The film will be broadcasted on Malaysia's state-owned TV2 channel in prime time.

RTM leadership also showed their interest in creating a 10-episode documentary film about Uzbekistan, followed by a demonstration on TV1 and TV2 within the framework of Syahadah program in April-May 2020 during the holy Ramadan. The shooting of this project is scheduled for February 27 – April 1, 2020, during which it is planned to visit the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.

RTM intends to prepare a 30-episode documentary film about Spain, Portugal, Albania, Kosovo, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The project is aimed at familiarizing the audience with history, traditions, culture and way of life of Uzbek people, in particular by demonstrating individual series dedicated to contribution of great thinkers and scientists, such as Imam al-Bukhari, Al-Khwarizmi, Ulugbek and others, to development of Islamic civilization, as well as measures taken by the leadership of the country to preserve Islam and promote it as a religion of peace and tolerance.

Following the negotiations, agreements were reached on establishment of cooperation between Uzbekkino and RTM to implement a joint project on creating a 10-episode documentary film about Uzbekistan, mutual coverage of significant events in public life of the two countries, exchanging data and airtime, including by creating joint TV programs dedicated to history, culture, art and traditions of Uzbek people.
