Uzbekistan's young mathematician selected as TWAS Young Affiliates

The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) is the largest international scientific institution under the auspices of the United Nations. It unites more than a thousand leading scientists, engineers and inventors from all continents of the planet. The Uzbek scientist was awarded this high honor at the elections held on August 17, 2021, to determine new members of the organization.

Muzaffar Muhammadjanovich Rahmatullayev is a newly elected scientist from Central Asia. He was born in 1982 in Namangan region’s Uychi district. He graduated from the National University of Uzbekistan. He completed his postgraduate studies at Namangan State University. In 2017, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation under the supervision of Professor Utkir Rozikov at the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan named after V.I. Romanovsky. M. Rahmatullayev has been working as the Head of Namangan Regional Branch of the Institute of Mathematics since 2020. 

Mr. Rahmatullayev is the author of more than 100 scientific works, and most importantly, most of his works are published in international journals. He has been training highly qualified personnel for several years. Today, five of his students are preparing to receive a Doctor of Philosophy degree. This has been reported by the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
