Uzbekistan’s young judokas won 47 medals
Competitions among young men have ended as part of the Open Asian Judo Cup, held in Tashkent and dedicated to the memory of the master of sports, Uchkun Muradov. In addition to Uzbekistan’s athletes, 421 judokas from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan performed in 8 weight categories.
Following the competition, members of the Uzbekistan team won 16 gold, 10 silver, and 24 bronze medals – a total of 47 medals – and became first in the team competition. The Kazakhstan team took second place with 4 silver and 7 bronze medals. The Kyrgyz team completed the top three and won 2 silver medals.
