Uzbekistan’s young saber players took third place at the World Cup in Spain.

The winners of the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, Guliston Perdiboyeva and Fernanda Herrera, among juniors – World Championship medalists Nargiza Jaksiboyeva and Samira Shokirova, defended the honor of Uzbekistan.

In the quarterfinals, they defeated saber players from China with a score of 45:19, but in a difficult semifinal meeting, they lost to the U.S. national team with a score of 27:45. Uzbekistan’s athletes became the winners with a score of 45:41 in the fight for bronze medals with Italian fencers.
