Uzbekistan’s wrestlers win 36 medals at the World Championship

The World Championship in Belt Wrestling among boys and girls born in 2005-2007 was held at the Tulpor Sports Complex in Kazan, Russia.

More than 200 talented young wrestlers from 20 countries took part in the competition.

The Uzbekistan national team won 6 gold, 6 silver, and 24 bronze medals in the free and classical styles, finishing second in the overall team standings.

Thus, the gold medals were won by Jasurbek Nishonboyev (up to 57 kg), Arofatkhon Muhammadova (up to 48 kg), Shakhlo Kalmuratova (up to 52 kg), Sevara Shajenova (up to 66 kg), Akbarjon Sobirov (up to 57 kg), and Bakhtiyor Sanginov (over 100 kg).

Uzbekistan’s referees also officiated at the competition: Mironshokh Ruziyev, Elmurod Abdullayev, Nematillo Tuychiyev, Abdukahhor Egamov, and Sergey Tkhak.
