As previously reported, Uzbekistan’s athletes are taking part in the 1st International Navruz Olympiad, in Tehran, Iran.

On March 13, the athletes won three medals at the championships.

Nigora Abdullayeva (55 kg) and Tursunoy Jabborova (+81 kg) won gold medals, and Rigina Adashboyeva (81 kg) – the bronze medal.

In the double event, Abdullayeva managed to lift 180 (80+100) kg, Jabborova – 240 (105+135) kg, and Adashboyeva – 215 (100+115) kg.

Sevinchoy Komilova also lifted 192 (87 +105) kg and took fourth place.
