Uzbekistan’s tourism potential is presented at the 28th International Travel Trade Fair “Balttour 2023”, in Riga.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, Balttour is the most significant event of international significance in the Baltic States. Up to 1 thousand companies providing services in tourism and leading wholesale and retail trade from 40 countries of the world take part in its work annually. The exhibition is visited by more than 30 thousand people.
Several tour operators from Uzbekistan took part in the exhibition with their stands. In particular, as part of the implementation of the initiative of the Head of state “Samarkand – Tourism Gateway of New Uzbekistan”, the opportunities of several Samarkand tour operators, including Yulduzhon Hilol, Tour Salon, SOF Keramik Art, were presented.
Uzbekistan Airways at its stand widely presented the possibilities of comfortable transport provisions for tourist flows in the direction of Uzbekistan. The airline informed the visitors about the increased frequency of flights on the Tashkent – Riga – Tashkent route, starting from March 28.
The participants noted the growing interest in Uzbekistan as a destination for tourists from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Finland. This was also facilitated by the fact that the Balttour organizing committee decided to separately emphasize the attractiveness of the tourist destination “Uzbekistan” by posting on its website a promotional material entitled “Excursions to Samarkand”.
