The Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan is participating in one of the largest international tourism exhibitions – FITUR (Feria Internacional de Turismo), which runs from January 21 to January 25 in Madrid.
FITUR has been held annually since 1981 and is considered one of the most reputable professional venues on the global tourism market. This year, representatives of more than 160 countries and over 10,000 companies are taking part in the event. The primary focus is on promoting innovation in tourism and sustainable development, and on strengthening international cooperation.
Within the framework of the exhibition, the delegation of the Committee on Tourism, together with 10 leading tour operators of Uzbekistan, presents the international community with the country’s rich cultural and historical legacy, its tourism potential, and modern tourism products.
During FITUR, B2B meetings and negotiations are held with foreign tour operators, airlines, media structures, and investors. Presentations aimed at promoting the national tourism brand and expanding Uzbekistan’s presence in the international tourism market are also being organized.
Following the event, it is expected to establish new partnerships and further strengthen Uzbekistan’s positive image as a promising tourist destination.
