Uzbekistan’s tennis players advance to the World Championships

Having achieved good results at the prestigious competitions held in the capital of Qatar, Doha, Uzbekistan’s table tennis players advanced to the upcoming World Championships to be held in South Africa.

At the decisive stage of the competition, Rozalina Khadjayeva and Markhabo Magdiyeva, who competed in pairs, met with representatives of South Korea. Then they had to fight with athletes from Kazakhstan Anastasia Lavrova and Angelina Romanovskaya.

Despite the tense struggle, Uzbekistan’s tennis players lost to the world table tennis leaders from South Korea, they managed to beat athletes from neighboring Kazakhstan with a score of 4:2. This victory brought the masters of the small racket a chance to take part in the World Championships, which will be held on May 20-28 this year in the city of Durban.

Now they have to fight for medals at the championships in South Africa and try to improve their world rankings. Achieving high results in the rankings is another confident step on the way to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
