Turkestan, Kazakhstan, hosts the 2nd Turkic Universiade.

Uzbekistan representatives demonstrated promising results in the competitions, which are being attended by sports teams from member states of the Organization of Turkic States. 

Thus, at the judo championships yesterday, Uzbekistan athletes won 5 gold and 2 silver, and in freestyle wrestling competitions – 4 silver and 3 bronze medals. 

Today, on November 8, according to the regulations of the 2nd Turkic Universiade, tournaments will be held in table tennis, Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, volleyball, and chess. 

The Universiade will run until November 10.
