Uzbekistan National Team took second place at the World Youth and Junior Sambo Championships in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The Russian team took first place, and the Ukrainian team – the third.

Uzbekistan’s sambo wrestlers for the first time became silver medalists in the team event at the World Championships. 

Following the World Championships, Uzbekistan’s sambo wrestlers won 6 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze medals, the National Olympic Committee reports.
